My name is Sean, and I am studying to do research in quantum botany. I currently have a bachelor’s degrees in physics, so the “quantum” part of this is much more solid than the “botany” part.
This blog is where I document my learning journey towards this goal. Wednesdays will feature a post about quantum mechanics, ranging from basic topics, like a particle in a box, to more advanced ones, like quantum entanglement in many-body systems. Saturdays will feature a post about botany, ranging from something like plant cell structure to phytochemistry, and sometimes I’ll even throw in some herbalism.
I’m hoping to make all posts beginner friendly (yes, even the quantum ones), but I also need to maintain my primary goal of learning these things myself, so things may get complicated. I will try to link useful resources or papers that will explain things further, or provide some extra context that may be helpful. I also am a big fan of math, so I do plan on deriving some of the equations used, but I’ll make sure to clearly mark those sections so that anyone who doesn’t have a strong math background can skip if they want.
Please feel free to contact me at thequantumbotanist@gmail.com if you have any questions about a topic I discuss.
